As an exploratory tester, there’s no doubt that finding problems is important. But exploratory testing is way more than that. We know this and sometimes we need to hold the mirror up to remind ourselves. Take a step back and remember, you’re not just a bug magnet!
From Tester to Test Coach, a Voyage into the Unknown
I believe that the evolving role of a tester is to advocate for and encourage the right testing to be done rather than performing the testing activity. Attendees to this session at TestBash Dublin with Rob Meaney will get an insight into the many challenges of taking on a test coaching role but also the potential rewards.
Introduction to Complexity and Cynefin for Software Testers
Dave Snowden’s work in complexity theory seems to have really caught the attention of many in the software testing community of late, but why? Is Cynefin a tool? A model? What do people mean when they speak about complexity theory? More importantly, why should this matter to software testers? In this experiential workshop at TestBash Netherlands, Ben and Martin will introduce some of the basic concepts of Cynefin, but with a special focus on how it can be immensely interesting and useful to software testing professionals.

The Software Testing Pyramid
So, I read a thing recently about a Test Pyramid. It was quite long and irrelevant to my situation. I got bored and overwhelmed. This is not to say that ‘that’ Test Pyramid was useful to someone in their software testing context, but to me it wasn’t. But it gave me an idea for my own Test Pyramid.

Mission Accomplished — Danny Dainton
Last Friday, I fulfilled one of my own personal goals by giving my first ever talk at a Conference. This wasn’t just any conference, this was at the place where it all started for me — This was the conference that ignited my passion and my love for Software Testing nearly 5 years ago.
The Importance of Building a Good Community of Practice — Nation Of Software Testers
Within every organisation, I think we can all agree that ‘collaboration’ is key to the success of any project or initiative. As organisations grow, new teams are created and existing teams fragment from each other, this is natural and I doubt that will change.
